Part 2 of a new five-part documentary on the national security state, from the maker of Psywar. We do not necessarily agree with the accuracy of all of the material. But it is an enormously compelling and worthwhile watch.  (All five parts of the documentary will appear on our site.)

  1. SO says:

Danny Casilaro’s “suicide” sounds a lot like Michael Hastings’ “accident.” I guess we’re supposed to shrug our shoulder’s and say. “It’s always been this way.”

    • N. Furthermore says:

You’re right – it’s hard not to compare the two suspicious deaths. And even if either or both deaths were innocent (which I doubt), there is still a mountain of other evidence of deep moral rot in the highest echelons of U.S. government and corporate power.

It takes a lot to awaken the American public. Much of the nation doesn’t even follow the news at all. Of those who do follow the news, many seem to just accept whatever they’re spoon-fed by the corporate media or the partisan cheerleaders for one of the two major parties, which are both corrupt.

Try to spread awareness by forwarding links to this documentary to everyone you know. Our society is truly run by a shadow government of gangsters whose power must be challenged.

Just really not sure about the eery music and voice over effects. It really isn’t necessary. Makes me wonder about the goals here…and who really is behind it. Manipulative media practices are very suspicious when the evidence should speak for itself.

    • Film Maven says:

Maybe the “person behind it” is the person identified as the filmmaker, who is rather known for his films, and no mystery at all. Just because you don’t approve of someone’s stylistic approach is no reason to be so paranoid.

  3. Orangutan. says:

“There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself.”
    — Senator Daniel K. Inouye at the Iran Contra Hearings (1987)

    • SO says:

Yeah, and Russ Baker works for them.

    • Orangutan. says:

Well I’m not so sure about that. But its always good to keep in mind..

“The Central Intelligence Agency owns everyone of any significance in the major media.” – former CIA Director William Colby

“There’s really five companies that control 90 percent of what we read, see and hear.” – Ted Turner founder of CNN

The major story that far too few investigative journalists are digging into is of course 9/11. The basis for this whole descent into tyranny.

    • Groom says:

Patriot Act, NDAA, AUMF, which were means of stripping sections of the Constitution, stand on the fraudulent premise that Al Qaeda attacked America on 9/11. Were the premise to be proved false, the post-9/11 totalitarian state created for the benefit of the ruling elites, would be placed in question.
