President Correctly Identifies a Giraffe

10/20/26

How many Americans could succeed when faced with the daunting challenge of being shown the drawings of four different animals and then being asked to point out the giraffe, one of the planet's most unique-looking mammals?

Donald Trump frequently complains that the media is being unfair to him because news outlets focus on things like his terrible decisions, the illegal actions of his administration, his self-enrichment, the endless lying, and the insane stuff he does on a daily basis.

And we’re just not going to do that anymore. Instead, we want to give him credit where credit is due and highlight some of his achievements.

On Monday, for example, Trump proudly proclaimed that, when he was faced with the images of four different animals, he correctly identified a giraffe.

As he noted during a campaign rally in Kansas, this is a feat no other commander-in-chief has accomplished. Sure, critics might point out that this is because other presidents haven’t been asked to take the kind of cognitive tests that are usually only given to people suspected of suffering from dementia. Still, what the fake news media just doesn’t appreciate is that circling a giraffe when there are three other animals present is a real challenge.

And not just any other animals, but rather those that could easily be confused with a giraffe… like a snake. Actually, you know what, let’s forget the snake even though it is long like the neck of a giraffe.

But the other two — a lion and a bear, according to the president’s account — are pretty similar. They all have four legs, for example.

For those who don’t appreciate the difficulty of this task, it’s almost like being presented with four objects, e.g., a ball, a bus, a book, and bicycle, and being able to correctly point out which one is the bus.

Also, it should be noted that there were witnesses. Specifically, according to the president, there were a bunch of doctors present, so this isn’t one of those stories Trump made up. He really pointed out that giraffe.

One of those doctors even warned him that it would be a big story if he got it wrong, so just imagine the pressure he was under. But he didn’t falter. That’s the kind of poise we want in our commander-in-chief.

During his speech, the president lamented that the media would barely cover it if he aced that cognitive test.

Well, sir, not on our watch!

You identified that giraffe, and that is something nobody can take away from you.
