One month before the key midterm elections, OPEC, led by Saudi Arabia, decided to reduce oil production in direct opposition to the request by President Joe Biden to increase it in response to a European and Western boycott of oil and gas from Russia. The result, obviously, will be higher gas prices, and that might have an effect at the polls.
