Let’s all hope that Donald Trump’s Memorial Day rant doesn’t get anybody killed.

It’s tough to see how any person could read Donald Trump’s Memorial Day message to Americans without feeling a bit concerned that a crazy person is at the helm of the United States.
For example, just think about the sound a sycophant like Secretary of State Marco Rubio made when he opened his Truth Social App and saw a lengthy presidential rant in all caps instead of a message that says: “On this Memorial Day, we remember all of those brave men and women who gave their lives to protect the liberties we all enjoy and cherish. We owe them a profound debt of gratitude.”
We imagine that it was a lengthy sigh, perhaps followed by a string of muttered curse words… because even the most ardent MAGA supporters must know that Trump is insane.
Of course, his reaction will not be anything compared to all of the coffee America’s psychiatrists will have spit out Monday morning when reading this.
As a service to our readers, here is the president’s Memorial Day message in its entirety. We took the liberty to annotate it.
“HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL…”
Off to a remarkably strong start considering past presidential holiday messages.
“…INCLUDING THE SCUM THAT SPENT THE LAST FOUR YEARS TRYING TO DESTROY OUR COUNTRY…”
Uh oh. He should have stopped at “Happy Memorial Day to all.” This is going off the rails quickly. Didn’t anybody think of taking away his cellphone? His handlers know how he gets on holidays. Let’s see where this journey will take us.
“…THROUGH WARPED RADICAL LEFT MINDS, WHO ALLOWED 21,000,000 MILLION PEOPLE TO ILLEGALLY ENTER OUR COUNTRY, MANY OF THEM BEING CRIMINALS AND THE MENTALLY INSANE, THROUGH AN OPEN BORDER THAT ONLY AN INCOMPETENT PRESIDENT WOULD APPROVE, AND THROUGH JUDGES WHO ARE ON A MISSION TO KEEP MURDERERS, DRUG DEALERS, RAPISTS, GANG MEMBERS, AND RELEASED PRISONERS FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD, IN OUR COUNTRY SO THEY CAN ROB, MURDER, AND RAPE AGAIN…”
That’s not exactly the same as thanking fallen service members for defending the rights of anybody residing in the United States, including the right to habeas corpus. The language about judges is a bit disconcerting, but we have heard it all before, so maybe Trump is not putting them in any direct danger with his rant.
“…ALL PROTECTED BY THESE USA HATING JUDGES WHO SUFFER FROM AN IDEOLOGY THAT IS SICK, AND VERY DANGEROUS FOR OUR COUNTRY.”
We spoke too soon. If any of his supporters get to this part, they could interpret it as a call to do something about these “dangerous” judges. Not good. This is precisely why some federal judges are considering putting in place their own security force because they believe they cannot rely on this administration to protect them.
Also, which “ideology” do they suffer from? ApplyingTheConstitutionism? RuleOfLawism?
So far, the judges appointed by both Democrats and Republicans (including Trump himself) have been the one part of the system that has worked. Sure, it would be nice if they started sanctioning members of this administration, but they are at least blocking some of Trump’s most blatantly illegal actions.
“HOPEFULLY THE UNITED STATES SUPREME COURT, AND OTHER GOOD AND COMPASSIONATE JUDGES THROUGHOUT THE LAND, WILL SAVE US FROM THE DECISIONS OF THE MONSTERS WHO WANT OUR COUNTRY TO GO TO HELL.”
Well, we can get behind that. However, we wouldn’t call Trump a “Monster,” he is just a crazy old man. Oh, wait. He may not be talking about himself here but rather judges again. Well, that’s troubling.
“BUT FEAR NOT, WE HAVE MADE GREAT PROGRESS OVER THE LAST 4 MONTHS, AND AMERICA WILL SOON BE SAFE AND GREAT AGAIN! AGAIN, HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!”
Well, there you have it. A shorter version of this could have just been: “Happy Memorial Day. I am deeply unwell. God bless America.”
Ordinarily, we would hope that all Americans, especially those serving in uniform, would spend this holiday in silent contemplation after reading Trump’s screed, but we have learned that even the most insane things he says or does won’t move the needle anymore.
So, instead, we hope that all of them enjoy a nice day off.
As for the brave men and women who gave their life to protect the liberties we all enjoy and cherish. They have our profound gratitude… let’s hope America makes it through this crisis as well.
