Donald Trump has settled on a nickname for Kamala Harris, and, once again, it’s a classic case of projection.

After what has undoubtedly been a lengthy scientific, research-oriented, and focus group-tested process, Donald Trump has apparently settled on bestowing on Vice President Kamala Harris the nickname “Crazy Kamala.”

We know one thing for sure: That choice is definitely not related to being called “weird” by Democrats for a week and not being able to handle it.

So, why should you care about a near-octogenarian assigning a juvenile name to the vice president of the United States?

In a perfect world, you shouldn’t… but in this one you’ll be hearing a lot of it, so we thought we’d prepare you.

On Wednesday, Trump used the new moniker in at least 10 different posts on his Truth Social platform. Knowing how the former president “thinks,” it stands to reason that he is trying to make up for lost time. After all, he has been running against “Crooked Joe Biden” for years now.

Of course, if you have been paying attention, you understand that most of these silly nicknames are a simple form of projection.

Obviously, the convict and quadruple indictee would want people to believe that Biden is crooked. Mind you, it isn’t the president who has been found liable for sexually abusing a woman, or whose companies have committed fraud.

It’s the same in this case.

After Harris became the presumptive Democratic nominee, she and her team appear to have cracked the code of how to deal with Trump and the GOP.

For some time, we have said that the key to defeating a malignant narcissist like the former president is to make fun of him.

And, finally, somebody is doing that.

Being called “weird” has gotten under Trump’s (and the entire GOP’s) skin. Therefore, the obvious response from him is to project this on Harris and call her “crazy.”

Here is an example:

“Crazy Kamala is saying she’s Indian, not Black. This is a big deal,” the former president wrote in one of his posts. “Stone cold phony. She uses everybody, including her racial identity!”

By the way, if you have been following Trump’s online musings, you can tell that he is flustered because there are no typos or randomly and incorrectly capitalized letters in this post.

What it did include, however, was a video of Harris saying she is Indian because… she is Indian. Well, her mom is, while her father is Jamaican American. Therefore, it would be phony for her to deny that she is either Indian or Black.

But that’s beside the point.

What really matters is that Trump is going to roll with “Crazy Kamala” because, apparently, the man who loves to talk about sharks and Hannibal Lecter can’t handle being called weird.

As we have pointed out, in the past, some of these silly nicknames have worked out well for the former president.

This one, however, could very easily backfire.

First of all, it’s probably not a winning strategy for a man whose approval rating among women is poor to be viewed as being misogynist.

And, perhaps most importantly, it is definitely not in Trump’s interest to make this race about who is crazy or not.
