To Elon Musk, everything he doesn’t like is a “threat to civilization.” He may want to take a look in the mirror.

To Elon Musk, everything he has a problem with is a threat to civilization. And by “civilization,” he means “white people.”
Declining birth rates (among white people)? That’s a threat to civilization.
A Kamala Harris presidency? A threat to civilization.
Wisconsinites electing a Democrat to the Supreme Court? You guessed it, that’s a threat to civilization.
What about empathy? According to Musk, it’s the fundamental weakness of Western civilization and will lead to its downfall.
Somebody putting non-soy milk in his latte? A threat to civilization.
Fine, we made the last one up, but you get the drift.
And you have to hand it to Musk; when he identifies a “threat to civilization,” he puts his money where his mouth is, whether that means spending a quarter of a billion dollars on Donald Trump’s campaign, breaking campaign finance laws to bribe voters in Wisconsin, or fathering a bunch of children, one of which he even seems to like.
Since he is so concerned about the future of civilization, we thought we’d offer a couple of very simple suggestions on things he can do to ensure that humanity will continue to (co)exist.
Most importantly, he should pay his taxes and support laws that tax wealth so heavily that it will be impossible to stay a billionaire.
That alone would make enough money available for the kind of things Musk (and the GOP) find unnecessary, such as fighting world hunger and diseases in poor countries, combating global warming, and creating a more equitable society for all.
If those things can be achieved, many of the actual problems that face humanity, i.e., not Democrats drawing fair congressional districts in Wisconsin, will become less of an issue.
For example, helping other parts of the world prosper will keep more of those foreigners that the South African-born billionaire has so much disdain for in their home countries and prevent them from “invading” the United States and Europe.
Because what Musk, Trump, et al. call an “invasion” is simply desperate people trying to build better lives for their families, no matter what it costs them.
And, once global warming makes their home countries uninhabitable, they won’t even have a choice anymore.
This will be a major undertaking, but a good starting point would be for countries and corporations to stop exploiting these places for their resources and cheap labor.
Another thing Musk and his fellow tech bros can do is to advance technology with caution. These clowns have no idea what their rapid “advancements” in the development of artificial intelligence will do (apart from consuming more energy than most countries).
In any case, it’s probably not the best idea to have people like Musk, i.e., emotionally stunted narcissists, leading this effort.
We have already seen where this is leading with X… and we mean the social media platform, not the kid (although, on second thought, the kid as well).
Finally, Musk could try telling the truth.
If he just did that, he would substantially reduce the animosity Americans (and people in the other “good” countries, according to him) feel toward each other.
Because, as it stands, the greater threat to civilization is Musk himself.
