During the 2016 presidential campaign, candidate Donald Trump declared, “I’m going to surround myself only with the best and most serious people. We want top of the line professionals.” He went on to surround himself with many people who have been indicted for criminal acts or have been convicted, including Steve Bannon, Roger Stone, Peter Navarro, Michael Cohen, Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, Elliott Broidy, Carlos De Oliveira, and Walt Nauta among others. Now Trump associates Kenneth Chesebro and Sidney Powell have turned state’s evidence in the Fulton County, GA, RICO case. Trump’s best people may turn out to be the best to testify against him.
