When many Democrats started worrying about President Joe Biden’s age, it was not just his catastrophic performance during the first presidential debate or the increasing number of his “senior moments” that scared them. Instead, their main concern was that he was only going to go downhill from there. So, how bad would things get by Election Day, and, if he did prevail, how could he lead the country for another four years?
Those were highly relevant questions, and when Biden finally figured out the answer for himself, he decided to not seek reelection and make way for somebody younger.
As this election cycle winds down, it’s obvious that he made the right call.
But what about Donald Trump?
Isn’t it also important to note that the lunatic who is ranting and raving at his rallies every night is the sanest version of him?
Trump is not going to get any less crazy over the next four years. It’s not as though he is going to seek out professional help to deal with his mental illnesses.
But he will get more vengeful.
Democrats are “the enemy within” and Trump is openly fantasizing about punishing them, including even regular Americans who have donated money to them.
Sure, ostensibly, he was only talking about the people who are trying to “steal” this election from him when he made those threats, but he also claimed that the same thing happened in 2020 even though that was complete nonsense. So, who would he want to lock up this time? Judges, a special counsel, poll workers, secretaries of state, journalists, or just people who tweet mean things about him?
What’s especially disconcerting is not only that Trump is getting crazier by the minute, but also that, should he be elected this time around, he will only surround himself with his most fervent supporters (or people who line his pockets), and that there is now a Supreme Court ruling in place that grants near total immunity to presidents for “official acts.”
So, that slurring weirdo who talked about migrants eating pets even long after it was clear that this wasn’t true is Trump at the top of his game.
His physical and mental decline is only going to advance, so just imagine what this madman will be like in 2028.
Of course, he is already so far gone that he will start doing real damage on Day One.
The main sufferers of his sociopathic energy will be immigrants, whom he has called “animals” who are “not human.” According to Trump, they are “poisoning the blood” of Americans and “infecting” communities.
Every single day, he sounds more and more like a Nazi, so what will he be like four years from now?
For the sake of the country, let’s hope we won’t find out.
