Using this tool, third-party voters can vote their consciences without putting Trump back in power.

Some unknown but not insubstantial segment of the voters in drum-tight swing states, determined to “send a message” by voting for Third Party candidates, might decisively impact who the next president is.

That may have unintended consequences that even those voters wouldn’t want.

But nobody has come up with a good way to address this. Until now.

A small group has created an intriguing solution for those among that group who do want to register a protest but are increasingly worried that their action could put Donald Trump back in the White House.

They’ve developed a system whereby voters “swap” their votes. Voters in swing states agree to vote for Harris while, in return, a would-be Harris voter they’re partnered with from a solid blue or red state agrees to vote Third Party on their behalf.

The net result is that those who, say, are unhappy with what the Biden-Harris administration has done to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and Lebanon, are still able to feel they let that be known, without penalizing themselves and everyone.

It’s called “Swap Your Vote.” The site pairs the voters to facilitate the process. Thousands have been paired up to this point.

One wishes this had been developed and promoted effectively well before the last hours of the campaign. But every bit helps, so, if you know someone who may be interested, please tell them, now.
