Mitch McConnell is hiding his true condition from the public to cling to the last bit of power that he can wield.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) took three months of medical leave while providing only vague details about his condition and treatment. The fact that he has consistently voted against family medical leave is just one more proof of the hypocrisy and arrogance McConnell and his team have displayed. Senators and US representatives are entitled to medical leave, but it is not mandated for you and your family — as it is in comparable industrialized democracies

On his return to the Senate, McConnell forbade reporters from taking video of him and refused to answer questions. Although we finally have proof of life more convincing than photos that seem to be AI, we still have no idea how functional the senator really is.

Republicans who hide their infirmities are becoming the rule rather than the exception. President Donald J. Trump has been lying about his medical history since he started running for president in 2015. Remember when he sent his thugs to steal his medical records from Dr. Harold Bornstein’s office? Rep. Tom Kean Jr. (R‑NJ) disappeared for about four months in 2026. After three months, Kean disclosed on the House floor that he had been hospitalized for severe depression. He missed over 140 House votes.

Whatever McConnell is thinking, it no doubt has something to do with clinging to power. And owning the libs to the bitter end.
