Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, widely criticized for mail delays during the November election, defiantly told Democratic lawmakers this week he isn’t going anywhere. He reportedly plans to further slow first-class mail delivery and raise postage costs.

    I don’t have a site to refer you to, but yes this is what they were forced to set up a few years ago. My friend was an exec at USPS and mentioned this. No other agency has had to do this, it sounds sort of preposterous.

    I recently read that at one point the republicans demanded that USPS prepay its retirement fund 75 years in advance and managed to get it passed into law. Does this mean that if they shut down USPS they will have a slush fund they can raid?

    Curious in the midlands of Illinois where all news is censored or filtered by Sinclair Broadcasting.
