Occupy’s 99 Pledge

Reading Time: 1 minute

The establishment and its advocates in talk radio and elsewhere have painted the participants in the “Occupy” movement as a shiftless bunch, unfocused, with no clear purpose or agenda. This video presents a very different picture. It’s by Occupy Santa Fe, from the relatively small community of Santa Fe, New Mexico—but it shows how one dedicated, effective group can start a snowball.

It’s vital that we do this while there is still time to turn things around.

    BRAVO>>>>OCCUPY SANTA FE!!!!

Thank you for  all your  efforts!

I  volunteered to live in Sta. Fe   from March to November 1999…..to help facilitate the Maya  prophecy of the Eagle meeting  the Condor.   iIt was initiated by  CIEPA, ( Confederation of Elders and Priests in the Americas)  notably the late  Navajo Elder, Leon   Secatero and Jicarilla  Apache  woman  Lorene Willis.  I developed white hairs.  It was a life changing experience.

Here’s a rhyme I learned from local Tewa and Dine:….Santa Fe is the fantasay of wannabee Indians!!!  Hmmmmm.

If  in each community, a  core  dedicated group of  99% folks presents this   PLEDGE  personally to all  candidates,  with  multi media as witnesses, it could  work.

HOWEVER,   most  professional politicians are  inveterate LIARS  like  Gingrich, Foley, Reagan,  Bush 1 & 2,   Clinton, Lieberman, Biden, late T. Kennedy…..

They  care  NOT,  how many promises they have broken  and  are  impervious to criticism  because they can always hire   NY Madison Ave  PR experts  or   Washington D.C.  K  St  unscrupulous  liars,  I mean lawyers,  to SPIN everything.  Money walks!!

Oh Creator, I miss  the wrestler senator  from MN, Paul Wellstone. He would have  filibustered  the  Patriot  Acts and NDAA.  Of course, they eliminated him three weeks before his re- election.

I have some  simple solutions that are not democratic!!!

BAN LAWYERS  &  MILLIONAIRES FROM RUNNING FOR FEDERAL SENATORS OR CONGRESSPERSONS.   STATE YES, FEDERAL NO.
IT IS THE BELTWAY, WASH   DC  AMBIENCE  (SO  CALLED  CONVENTIONAL WISDOM)   BAH!   THAT CORRUPTS ALL WHO GET  THERE.   STUDY THE SACRED GEOMETRY DESIGN OF WASH DC.

CLOSE THE REVOLVING DOOR BETWEEN BIG BUSINESS/WALL ST AND THE EXECUTIVE (WHITE HOUSE)

BOTH HOUSES OF  CONGRESS ( COTUS)   SHOULD NOMINATE SUPREME COURT  (SCOTUS) JUSTICES INSTEAD OF THE PRESIDENT(WHOTUS).

BEHOLD  THE WALL ST  APPOINTEES OF  OBAMA!  NAUSEATING!!

It is a myth that millionaires do not steal…

Btw, guess what Shakespeare said about lawyers?

with all due respect for EVERYONE’s efforts, I don’t think this manifesto or “pledge” is a very meaningful one.

The biggest problem with the Occupy movement was the silly obsession with “consensus decisionmaking,” that prevented its adherents in my city of Tucson from achieving anything except collecting citations from violating City law regarding park hours of operation. Occupy wrote its own certificate of irrelevance. I’ll find another flag to fly. The video’s nice, but also misleading. The most likely cause of a political resurgence that can change anything will be total economic freeze-up due to unrestrained greed operating free of all restraint. Adam Smith’s Invisible Hand becomes the architect of change when self interest is awakened.

  10. Al Smith says:

Al Smith is my real name, Alan D. Smith of Dallas.  I haven’t attacked an “entire people.”  I attacked the very psychopaths responsible for most of Humanity’s common problems, and they’re NOT Jews.  I have Jewish friends who feel as I do about the Khazarian Zionists.  And, there are many Jewish organizations who’re opposed to them and their covert, unlawful  rule of this planet.

Learn the truth, before you attack someone who is on Humanity’s side, unless you’re on the Zionists’ side.

Has much as I support occupy and am most certainly part of the 99% this movement has no teeth , and with out teeth it posses no threat to the powers that be , just contributes to the cacophony of  citizens demands that  are tuned out and ignored.

Pledges and rhetoric will accomplish nothing , never have and never will . The only thing that is going to have any real effect is civil disobedience.
Shut down the west coast again , fill the streets, occupy foreclosures. go back to OCCUPYING ! any thing less is a waste of time and energy.

Sounds like the good folks of Santa Fe have distilled the issues and message to its essence. Many others, over time, have said as much, but now we have an action step that we can and must take.

I’d like to hear what the general assemblies in other cities and towns have come up with.

    Psssst – pass this on.

The 99 Pledge is being spread word of mouth on the internet and will be launched nation wide soon. Already we have received request for info from as close as Albuquerque and as far as Canada

We notice that the vast majority of readers do not post comments on this or any website. This unfortunately provides a platform for folks seeking attention who may not reflect the common sense, courtesy, and even rationality of the majority. We’d like to encourage the rest of you to weigh in. Thanks.

This post will be deleted shortly and the person presumably using the pseudonym “Al Smith” will be asked not to return to our site. “Al,” if you have the guts to give your real name and email, please contact me directly via the site’s email contact form so I can explain to you personally why we do not care to have this kind of material here.
