America has past experience jailing a president. When George H.W. Bush had the military arrest President Manuel Noriega of Panama, they had to decide where to house him. He ended up spending years at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Miami. That solution might be convenient for the Florida man’s incarceration.
If Donald Trump were to be convicted and incarcerated, he could get the cell of another former president: Manuel Noriega, the leader of Panama, who was housed at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Miami for years. This “presidential suite” would be conveniently located for Trump’s wife, Melania, because it’s just an hour or so away from Mar-a-Lago.
