Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem stood before the press decked out in a giant cowboy hat — in front of a podium draped in camouflage netting for the tough-manly effect — to set the record straight on what really happened when an ICE agent took the life of an American citizen. She wanted everyone to know that this woman was not a victim, but was a domestic terrorist who rammed her car into ICE agents while they were trying to extract their vehicles from the snow.
Noem, aka ICE Barbie, made these wild accusations immediately following the incident while offering no proof. The videos that are publicly available do not — to put it gently — provide any support for her accusations.
Gone are the days when our top law enforcement officials would be very careful when speaking to the press. They would talk about the “alleged” perpetrators and note that we can’t reach any conclusions before there is an investigation. You know, like the prosecutors on TV cop shows.
For all their talk of bringing safety to cities, the DHS doesn’t have a very good record when it comes to shooting people and raping “detainees.” There have been multiple shootings and many people in custody claim they have been mistreated. Here are some videos and headlines that help tell the story.
