Donald Trump’s campaign is funding and encouraging efforts to suppress votes, possibly corrupt election workers, and intimidate voters with election monitors. They learned a lot from the last election and are ready to throw the vote counting efforts into chaos if Trump is losing again.

The 2024 election is already a mess and it won’t be getting better any time soon. At the recent Republican National Convention, the media parroted Trump’s claim that he was going to pivot to a message of unity. Not able to control himself, Trump included this word salad in his speech: “The election result we’re never gonna let that happen again. They use COVID to cheat. We’re never gonna let it happen again.” He couldn’t get through the speech without repeating the big lie that he won the 2020 election.

The GOP and its allies have already filed over 90 lawsuits on election rules. Republican legislatures have been busy passing laws to suppress Democratic votes. Trump is claiming the election will have been rigged if he loses. This will give MAGA an excuse for whatever measures they undertake. Their goal is to throw the entire election into chaos, creating the appearance of uncertainty, in hopes of having the US House of Representatives decide the election for Trump. Basically, “Stop the Steal” on steroids.
