The Trump Gold Card was proposed by President Trump on June 12, 2025. It’s a type of visa that will allow investors a fast-track path to residency and citizenship if they pay at least $1 million to the government. Given the fact that Trump seems to be selling pardons to all sorts of criminals, this Gold Card serves a similar purpose. If you’re an unsavory person, but you have a million bucks, you can now buy your way into the US and gain access to the loosely regulated American “free market.”  

I’ll repeat the updated words to Emma Lazarus’s “The New Colossus” to help the search engines catalog it: 

Give me your greedy, your rich,
Your nasty bastards yearning to steal freely,
The wretched grifters of your teeming shore.
Send these, the lawless, tyrant-toadies to me,
I lift my lamp beside Trump’s golden card.
And the cost is only $1 million to get in the door!
