According to US News and World Report, Donald Trump has chosen eight billionaires to staff his top jobs, including Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Scott Bessent, Howard Lutnick, Steve Witkoff, Linda McMahon, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum, and Jared Isaacman. Among them, as of December 5, they have a total net worth of $358.9 billion. The former president seems to believe that net worth is a guarantee of competency at running the government. Americans are soon to suffer the consequences of this misapprehension.
