Trump has learned that his fellow Republicans are eager to accept and excuse his most vile conduct directed at the most vulnerable members of our society.

The Republican Party and its hardcore base are in the bag for President Donald Trump. Trump famously said, “I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone and I wouldn’t lose any voters.” Now he is begging the MAGA faithful to ignore the Epstein scandal and focus on false charges against former President Barack Obama.

Trump wants everyone to follow the squirrel and look away from the ever-increasing volume of Trump/Epstein content now being dredged up by the corporate media. Perhaps Wall Street types don’t take kindly to Trump deporting essential workers, undermining universities, discouraging foreign students and tourists from coming to the US, defunding science, defunding education, and destroying the economy with his very high import taxes, aka tariffs.

We’ll see what more comes out about the Epstein scandal. Will something finally cause his conspiracy theory–loving base to turn against their savior? There are rumblings in the manosphere but, from experience, I think it is more likely that the majority of his supporters will excuse anything Trump does. MAGA influencers will try to minimize the age-of-consent laws and paint sexual predator and Epstein accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell as a victim of the deep state. These justifications will fall on willing ears, but we can hope they might peel off enough to cause a disturbance in the MAGA force.
