Every day for the last 10 months there have been a half dozen news items that make your stomach turn and your jaw clench. At last there is a bit of good news for supporters of democracy and the American Dream.
Donald Trump and Andrew Cuomo showed us that extreme rhetoric may be losing its power. How many times can you call all Democrats radical left-wing communist antisemitic terrorist demons before voters start to realize that makes no sense? These two old dinosaurs think they’re still living in the ’70s when white men were the masters of the universe and could treat everyone around them as servants of their whims.
At long last they may come to understand they’re just a couple of old losers whose time has passed.
