America’s Clown-in-Chief lies all the time, but some lies are more dangerous than others.

President Donald Trump’s most insidious lie was the deceit that the 2020 election was stolen from him. Trump, the Republican Party, their media enablers, and their army of social media activists have invested boundless time and money to try to convince voters the election system is against Trump. Trump has even screened job applicants to identify sycophants who will do anything he asks. One key question is, “Who won the 2020 election?” He knows that if people believe everything he says he can manipulate them to act against their own interests.
The new tent-pole lie is that tariffs are not taxes on American citizens. Trump keeps claiming tariffs are paid by target countries rather than paid by importers, with the costs passed on to consumers. These new tariffs, however they are implemented, are going to cost the average American family real money. Tariffs are taxes, period. Plus, the on-and-off nature of the erratic rollout has caused the entire world to be discombobulated and the loss of trillions in equity.
It is imperative that the truth get as much exposure as the Republican lies. We all need to do our part to convince those Trump true-believers in our lives that Trump lost the 2020 election and that tariffs are taxes the American people will pay.
