President Donald Trump’s press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, approaches her job with the fervor of a true believer. She apparently believes her boss is God’s gift to mankind who can do no wrong because every mistake is someone else’s fault. She uses rhetoric that has no place being uttered from the White House podium. Her style is reminiscent of Ri Chun-hee,  nicknamed North Korea’s propaganda-spewing “Pink Lady” or “North Korean News Lady.”

In a recent comment from the press briefing room in the White House, Leavitt said:

If this story proves anything, it proves that Democrats and their propagandists in the mainstream media know how to fabricate, orchestrate, and disseminate a misinformation campaign quite well. And there’s arguably no one in the media who loves manufacturing and pushing hoaxes more than Jeffrey Goldberg.

All of Leavitt’s excuses for SignalGate, or whatever we’re calling it, never explain why all of these cabinet officers were using a commercial app to discuss secret attack plans, in violation of the law. This is the underlying scandal they want us to ignore: What are they trying to hide by not using approved government communication devices?

WH calls Signal story a "misinformation campaign," attacks Goldberg and his wife.
