Trumpism is the home for white supremacists to enjoy being racist in public again. Say anything you want about any person of color. Be really edgy and demean them with words and images. Attack your neighbors of color in their homes, cars, schools, work places, and churches. Prevent them from receiving the best education. Fire hundreds of thousands of federal workers — many of them people of color — without a thought for their futures. Unemployment for Black women has risen since Donald Trump took office for a second time.
It is perfectly clear that the Republican Party is no longer the party of Lincoln. It has morphed into the party of Nathan Bedford Forrest, a former Confederate lieutenant general and the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan.
They’re using terror tactics in an effort to crush any opposition to Trump. People are already being killed and injured on the streets and in detention centers by ICE and mistreated, denied proper medicine, nutrition, and privacy in concentration camps and ad hoc holding areas.
The rule of law has given way to the rule of Trump. Anything the king likes gets favored and anything the king dislikes gets destroyed.
The congressional Democrats have yet to prove they are up to the task of being an effective opposition party. Citizens are left to lead this fight in hopes of dragging the leaders out of the fog of complacency.
The following screen capture of a tweet containing Trump’s vile Truth Social post links to the actual video, if you want to see it.
