Another history lesson for our American friends. In 1783 when the U.S. was still in metaphorical diapers Catherine the Great of Russia chased out of Crimea the Turks and Tatars who had enslaved millions of Ukrainians and Russians over the years. Russia has always defended Crimea against invaders i.e. the British/ French etc., and lost thousands of men chasing out the Nazis . The people voted to stay with Russia and a recent poll showed that is still their desire so why these sanctions against Russia?

Of the thousands killed in this conflict the majority have been innocent civilians on the anti-Ukrainian side killed by Ukrainian shelling but that will not be reported by the western media.
