WHO Favorites: Bill Hicks on War, Taxes, Media & Freedom

Reading Time: 1 minute

“You are free to do as we tell you”

In this bit, from the early 90s, the comedian/commentator Bill Hicks takes on George HW Bush, the first Gulf War, manipulating the masses, public attitudes toward war, popular indifference, and more. Funny and brutally direct, with some profanity.

Bill Hicks and George Carlin, the genius minds and laser-like wit and observation. Must be *someone* out there sharing that sort of brilliance? Thanks for the compilation.

Bill Hicks = Champ. Wish he was around to call out the bluff of the 9/11 attacks. Too bad more people didn’t have his spirit. All the best. Great post.
