Making Sense of Boston
April 9, 2015 by Klaus Marre
It doesn’t take an expert on the Boston Marathon Bombing to see some major discrepancies in the overall case. There are just too many things that don’t make sense.

Was Tamerlan Tsarnaev an FBI Informant? Odds Say it’s Possible
April 9, 2015 by Lara Turner
Given the evidence presented in the Tsarnaev trial, it’s possible that Dzhokhar’s older brother, Tamerlan—who was killed by police in the immediate hours after the bombing—was an FBI informant.

WhoWhatWhy Editor-in-Chief Russ Baker will discuss the Boston Marathon Bombing verdict on the Chicago-based radio program Stocks and Jocks, 8–8:30am Central Time, Friday April 10. Listen to the show live at http://stocksandjocks.net/

WHO

The Police Are America’s Terrorists
Are police officers in America armed with a de facto license to kill? Black teenage boys are 21 times more likely to be killed by police than White teenage boys. In March, police killed 36 Black “suspects.” And so-called “broken taillight policing” targeting Black drivers—which is why Walter Scott was pulled over—often leads to violent outcomes. If this latest incident is a tipping point, it cannot come too soon. In South Carolina alone, officers were exonerated in 209 shooting incidents in just five years.

Military Veterans Target US Drone Strikes in TV Ads
This month viewers near Beale Air Force Base in Northern California will see the first-ever TV commercials denouncing US drone operations. Beale AFB is home to Golden Hawk reconnaissance drones. The Sacramento chapter of Veterans for Peace, along with activist website KnowDrones.com, is asking pilots to stop flying America’s burgeoning unmanned air force. The on-screen messages read “Drone killings violate law and morality” and “Drone pilots. Please refuse to fly. No one has to obey an immoral law.”

Dershowitz Hits Prince Andrew’s ‘Sex Slave’ With Defamation Charges
Here comes the sequel to the star-studded wars between friends of convicted billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and his Jane Doe accusers… it’s called: Alan Dershowitz strikes back! That’s exactly what the embattled Dershowitz did as soon as a judge deemed “lurid” sex allegations against “The Dersh” to be “immaterial” to a lawsuit brought against Epstein. Now “The Dersh” is suing Jane Doe #3’s legal team for defamation.

WHAT

As Colombian Oil Money Flowed To Clintons, State Department Took No Action To Prevent Labor Violations
In 2011, Colombian union leaders and human rights activists appealed to the Clinton-led State Department to weigh-in on “harrowing” human rights abuses by the military during a strike against Colombia’s largest oil company. Instead, the State Department praised Colombia’s human rights record, thus releasing a flood of US aid to Colombia’s military. Coincidentally, the Clintons were also developing commercial ties with selfsame oil company—Pacific Rubiales—whose founder now occupies a seat on the board of the Clinton Foundation. Go figure.

WHY

NASA’s Dark Materials: America Resumes Production of Plutonium-238 to Keep Space Within Reach
The US stopped making Plutonium-238 in 1988. But it’s making a comeback. Why? Because while it’s a powerful alpha emitter, it doesn’t emit more dangerous forms of radiation. And that makes it suitable for use in radioisotope thermoelectric generators (RTGs). Those RTGs offer the best option for generating power in space when solar is not available. And NASA has some ambitious plans for places beyond the Sun’s rays… that is, unless, aliens get to us first.
